Japanese For That Poor Woman

Polly Strovink tells us the following true story:

Several years ago, my sister was teaching English in Japan. She became very insulted when one teacher talked about her to another teacher, while standing right in front of her. The teacher said that she shouldn't take the bullet train, because she was very "bimbo".

Turns out "bimbo" means "poor" in Japanese.
